Terminology Guide

Magi: You guys! The Magi are people who have formed a contract with an Incubator in exchange for a wish, fighting witches for all eternity. Unlike the anime, Magi can range from as young as 4 until the early twenties and consist of both genders.

Incubator: Alien, magical creatures who have a fairly cute appearance. They seek out people who are worthy of becoming potential Magi and work as guides for them, handing them information. However, they don't ever seem to be giving enough details....

The most well-known Incubator is Kyubey.

The site's Incubators are Nanabey (Echo) and Reibey (Crys).

Witch: Evil entities who wreck havoc towards the world by causing unexplained disasters, residing in their barrier - something only Magi can see along with the Incubators. The most feared witch is Walpurgisnacht.

Witch's Barrier: The hiding place or "headquarters" of a witch. These areas often have a theme of some sort, relating to the Witch's desires. They are filled with various minions and surreal visuals.

Familiars: The Witch's minions. While relatively weak to pick off, if left alone, the familiars turn into another witch through a metamorphis, something similar to evolving. Once they become a witch, they are fairly identical to the one they come from. If a Witch's barrier is destroyed, so are they

Witch's Kiss: A symbol embedded on people who have made "contact" with the witch and are about to suicide due to manipulation.

Grief Seed: An item that is dropped once a witch is defeated. With the help of an Incubator, Magi can purify their Soul Gems of any taint in them. However, they also serve the purpose of harvesting Zeal to make a wish more permanent.

Soul Gem: The symbol of the contract. These allow Magi to manifest their powers and transform. Basically, it contains all their powers in them. When active, the Soul Gem is rather large depending on the Magi's potential and takes the shape of a tear-like gem with a top that is shaped similar to something dear towards the Magi. When dormant, it becomes an accessory - most wear it as a ring. Once transformed, the Magi's Soul Gem either latches onto their body somewhere or remains an accessory. Due to warnings, no one dares to see what happens if they don't purify their gems. Magi cannot leave their Soul Gems within a certain distance.

Zeal: Energy harvested from Grief Seeds by Magi. This energy strengthens the contract between them and the Incubators, therefore strengthening their own powers and their wish is made more permanent.

Wish: The hope that Magi cling onto. Unlike the anime, wishes are temporary in this universe. The more Zeal that is harvested, the longer the wish stays in-tact. If the Magi is not holding at least one Grief Seed, the wish is destroyed/nullified until they obtain one.

SOSA: The Save Our Souls Association. This group consists of Magi and constantly recruiting. They seem to have the most information and send Magi out in assigned teams to allow all to come back unharmed. The association houses the Incubators for the time-being. Formed in 1957 by an unknown Magi
